Itzel Ávila is a well-established violin maker in Toronto. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Violin Society of America and was the President of the Makers’ Forum (the Canadian association of professional violin and bow makers) (2020-2022). A participating member of the Oberlin Violin Makers Workshop (USA), she was Trained in Italy, Canada, and the United States. Her instruments are played by professional musicians in North America and Europe.
